The Business Startup Initiative is a program designed to help Berklee students, faculty and staff develop and launch small businesses. The program began as part of the Entrepreneurial Practicum class within the Music Business/Management department at Berklee College of Music with the aim of giving students, faculty and staff the opportunity to transform their business ideas into successful startups. Students faculty and staff submit a brief application explaining their business idea and detailing their progress with the project, if any. Upon review, the Business Startup Initiative team, with the guidance of Music Business faculty, will help guide the project’s creator through a series of steps to develop a detailed business and marketing plan. The team also offers weekly consultations to students, faculty and staff at different stages of the business startup process. The Business Startup Initiative collaborates with the U.S. Small Business Administration, which explains the process of loan applications to fund their businesses. We welcome Berklee students, faculty and staff alike to come to our office hours every Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2-4PM in room 232 of the 7 Haviland building.

Please fill out this application on the apply page if you would like to work with the Business Startup Initiative this fall. Applications are due by August 1st.
